Since 1998, Rencontres Audiovisuelles has worked in the Northern France region (Nord-Pas de Calais), to promote the diffusion of independent audiovisual creation and implement visual literacy actions.
The organization offers many concrete workshops aiming at audiovisual awareness or creation. It intervenes at schools, social centers, cultural venues and media libraries but also during events.
In order to implement those workshops, our organization trained a team of its own (full-time employees of the organization and professionals of the field) and developed many educational Tools. “Images 2.0”, the very first digital tool created by the organization in 2011, is a serious game for film literacy.

Following this first experimentation, Rencontres Audiovisuelles realized they needed a complementary tool, specifically dedicated to animated films: Anim 2.0.
This new tool, made available online (unlike Images 2.0) in three languages (English, Dutch and French) in order to reach as many people as possible, can be used by individual users as well organizations working with the youth, as an educational material in workshops.
That way, we hope to contribute to the discovery of animation by all and offer to the users a few keys to understand the images surrounding them.
